Book Review Of "Jannat Kay Pattay"

Story Setup:

The story of jannat kay pattay is not something which focuses on one themed story, and that's what makes it different from other typical novels.As it is a very thick book and the lines are also veryyyy small so you have a lot of words to read,and in the end you'll think that this shouldn't end this much early. The story is set in half Pakistan and half turkey, and i can bet you'll write turkey in your bucket list, for sure, after reading this.

About:

"Jannat Kay Pattay" revolves around a modern girl named "Haya Suleiman" who lives in an extremely so called cultural typical society. She got admission in sabanci university of Istanbul, and also somehow got permission from her typical parents to go there all alone. She was accompanied by one of her college mate Khadija (nicknamed DJ) to sabanci whom she didn't like at first but slowly they both become best of friends. In Turkey, Istanbul,her aunt also lives, who don't really have such good relations with her family due to some issues. When she was 8 she tied knot with her aunt's son Cihan (In Turkish C is pronounced as J) so that two families will always have a connection because of the relation of haya and cehan,but in these 22 years cehan and haya have never met, and now haya's parents want haya to end this namely relation from Cihan, but there is something which stops haya to end this relation with Cihan, she asked her father the time of 5 months. she promised that after coming from Istanbul and meeting cihan if she thinks that in real ,nothing had left between both of them,she will end the relation,but she wants to give it a last chance and atleast for once to clarify the unsung relation 22 years.

Beautiful Location:

All set in turkey Nimra Ahmed has an amazing skill of portraying an actual image of place in reader's mind. When i was reading this, it was soo badly stuck in my mind that even in sleep i was recalling the story and and all the voices were playing in my head, so it's a novel with a massive heavy impact.All the beautiful scenarios of Turkey, Istanbul Capadocia,Istiqlal street,Blue Mosque,Jawahir mall,Taksim Square and what not? It is one of the few books which has a really well written locational backgrounds.

Strange Characters:

Having beautiful locations, this thick masterpiece also contains some unbelievable strange but mind blowing characters, Like Major Ahmed (who in the end will have the biggest mystery which i'm not going to reveal😉) A Pakistani major who makes creative puzzle box to make haya meet the reality of her life, ARP who has a mysterious character, who send white rose flowers to Haya saying that he is her biggest lover.

Patriotic Scheme:

This story is not only about a modern girl, but also about a secret spy agent, Cihan, (Haya's Husband) who secretly works for his country,such agents die with no rewards and awards but with great pride that they've done something that could save their country,Like i almost cried when The main character Cihan was about to go on a mission to cross the borders illegally, and Haya was waiting for his return .It is soo well written, that you'll definitely feel proud on the efforts that you're country is doing in this minute so that you can read this article peacefully. 

How This Book Can Connect You To Your Roots?

This book can really connect you to your roots, To who you really are!... The transformation to a modern classic girl to a hijabi girl was tremendous to read. How she connects to Allah. How she've found the meaning of her life!... How she solves the riddles of Surah-e-Aihzab and found the mystery in Quranic verses, How only one ayat of Quran has changed her life or maybe could change yours also. The pure characters like Ayeshegul made haya realize that how "Good girls" live their lives independently according to Islam.
