BOOK REVIEW
433 Pages of madness. This books was a roller coaster for me.I literally read this pretty thick book in two day (by the way i know 2 days are more longer then usual for a book addict but still). If you are a teenager and you've got a psycho brain, then this book is just written for you.
WRITER OF THE BOOK:
I wouldn't start with the basic "where she studied", "When she was born" because to be honest no one has any interests in this. But I must start by appreciating her passion for writing books. Because it's on some another level. She did whole lot of research just to make the character of "Evelyn" who has OCD, and obviously holly didn't have met any OCD symptoms in personal but the way she had portrayed character's role as an OCD patient is hands down the best. She've made the character alive in imaginations of reader and that's the best quality of a real writer.
About The Main Character:
"Evelyn" which is called as "evie" has an utterly high level of OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder, She is a college going girl who has just been dumped by her best friend Jane, She washes her hands thousand times a day hiding from everyone in her college and even in home, in her mind she often see the germs growing everywhere on her body, because she has a fear that everyone will think her of as a freak. Coming back to her OCD trait. A disorder which many people are familiar with but many take it as a way of gaining attention, The real patients of OCD have this mental state where every surrounding of theirs seems dirty to them. They feel like touching particular thing certain time will do something good to them. That's just what their mind tells them to do and they can't help it.
Characters Of The Story: (Ahhhh So Cliche To Call It A Story )
Evelyn (Duhhh Obviously)
Amber (Best friend of Evelyn)
Lottie (Again Best Friend Of Evelyn)
Rose (Evelyn'n Younger Sister Which Is As Wise As A Forty Year Old)
Sarah (Evelyn's Therapist)
Ethan (A Boy Who Just Covered Hardly 5 Pages Of Book)
Oli (Shyest Boy Of this Universe)
Guy (A Guy Named Guy)
Jane (Evelyn's Best Friend Who Just Dumped Her)
Joel (In Other Words Jane's Tail)
An Incomplete Summary:
In her entire life all she want is just to become normal but her mind just can't give any signs of adjustments to her. She've been going to Sarah ,her therapist, and probably she hates her for being so sticky to her all the time. Her younger sister Rose is all what a perfect child could be. She have no friends in college because the bestest friend of her life just dumped her over a boy in the first week of college. Jane has been a tough and rough friend for her, in all her rough time she was always been there for her and it is not less then a break up for her, the friend who's been with her through school is now not even caring about how she is. But then tables got a little turn and she meet Lottie and amber, after meeting them she've always had this fear then they will also leave her and make fun of her after they'll got to know about her whole freak OCD thing, the whole enjoyments and how they find each other with same thinking, how they roll up feminism thing so easily is just wow...But still All she'd wanted is just to be normal like other girls. She've tried to find this normality in Ethan who end up being a heartless one, Oli who usually takes his parents to dates, And a guy named guy, who is just whole another story which i'm not going to reveal otherwise I'll just ruin your suspense.
My Honest Thoughts On This:
I literally never had a chance to read a book which is funny, yet realistic. I would say people who have even a little trace of OCD in their lives can relate to this. All the college bunchers will relive their lives one more time if you've also been Clumsy. If you've ever been dumped by any person in life! If you've ever felt a need to liked by others, If you've Ever felt mad... you should give this book a fair try.
